The Diamond Dance Company will hold auditions for its annual production of “The Nutcracker” on Saturday, August 26, 2006. The auditions will take place at the First State Academy of Dance at 107 Maple Avenue in Milford. The Diamond Dance Company is a non-profit organization, and dancers from studios throughout the region are welcome.
Dancers between the ages of 8 and 10 are invited to audition from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Dancers aged 11 and up (or younger dancers en pointe) are invited to audition from 12:30 until 2:30. There are also parts available for adults and boys who are non-dancers. The majority of rehearsals will take place on weekends.
“The Nutcracker” will be performed in Milford on December 1, 2, and 3, 2006. The Diamond Dance Company will also present the ballet “Coppelia” in April 2007. Auditions for that production will be held the first Saturday in January. For more information, call 422-2633.
